New features for increased safety and control

Dropbox is releasing a number of new features to increase security and control. And if you have Dropbox Advanced, you now get 1 year of version management with your subscription.

External sharing reporting - Keep your team's work out of the wrong hands. View externally shared links in a centralized dashboard and revoke access as needed.Dropbox passwords with a new admin console - quickly log in to your accounts on all your devices. Easily access your login information with Dropbox passwords, and be alerted if team members are using weak or broken passwords.

Dropbox Backup with support for new external devices - Recover lost data without any downtime. Back up one computer and one connected device (per user) and quickly restore your content if something goes wrong.

Web session management - admins can automatically log users out of Dropbox and restrict mixed personal and business accounts.

Device limit settings - administrators can require users to log in within a certain range of hours or days.

Extended version history(Dropbox Advanced)- easily undo accidental edits and deletions. Now you can restore and recover team files for up to 1 year.

Ransomware detection and recovery (Dropbox Advanced) - admins are immediately alerted to suspicious behaviour, and Dropbox helps restore stolen or compromised content without paying a ransom.
